IPFrontline Committee Will Support Initiatives To Aid Lawyers In Need, Legal Professionals Suffering From Work-Related Issues
Coats & Bennett, PLLC has announced that Emily Haas has been named co-chair of the lawyer support committee at the Wake County Bar Association. The committee is responsible for assisting lawyers in need and promoting the Bar Confidential Attorney Resources and Enrichment Services (BarCARES) program, which provides behavioral health and psychiatry services to legal professionals suffering from work-related issues. Haas has been appointed to a one year term.
As an associate in the litigation group at Coats & Bennett, Haas specializes in copyrights, patents, trademarks and trade secrets. She earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell Law School, where she graduated in the top 5 percent of her class, and is a member of the trademark litigation committee at the American Bar Association.
“The legal profession is extremely rewarding but can also be highly taxing emotionally,” said Haas. “By promoting the BarCARES program and providing support to my colleagues, I hope to help members of the WCBA alleviate some of the stress associated with their careers.”
