
Jennifer Stewart

Jennifer K. Stewart brings to Coats + Bennett an extensive background in systems engineering and fiber optics. Her work at Harris Corporation focused on acousto-optic receivers and fiber optic processing subsystems, and she additionally gained experience in the development of military control systems during a summer internship at Microsystems, Inc.
Ms. Stewart's Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, summa cum laude, with a Minor in Mathematics was obtained in 1994 from the University of Florida. She earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1996 from the University of Florida. Her thesis, “Time-Resolved Optical Flow Visualization”, involved designing an optical inferometric system capable of capturing and processing stable images of high-speed time-dependent gaseous flows in volatile environments to provide data necessary for refining complex mathematical models.
Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Ms. Stewart is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association. In her free time, she enjoys playing and listening to music, crafts, inline skating, hiking and cooking, as well as watching a variety of college and professional sports and spending time with her husband, Jason, and their two cats.
