Ed
Green knows digital electronics. He has designed circuits found in SPARC®
and PowerPC® architecture microprocessors, video compression boards,
minicomputer memory controllers, missile guidance systems and satellite
data acquisition systems from discrete components to complex
ASIC and full custom solutions. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Mr.
Green developed technology in both product design and research environments,
in the commercial computer and defense industries. Mr. Green's engineering
affiliations include IBM, Sun Microsystems, Olivetti Systems and Networks,
Lockheed Palo Alto Research Laboratory, Lockheed Missiles and Space
Company, and Gearhart Industries. Mr. Green is a co-inventor on four
U.S. patents.
Ed Green applies his extensive technical background in protecting clients
inventions across a broad range of technologies, including electrical
circuits, software, wireless communications technology, electrophotography,
robotics, microelectronics, data processing, internet business methods,
power control and a wide range of industrial designs and processes.
Mr. Green obtains patent protection for clients, including representation
before the Patent Board of Appeals and Interferences and the Court of
Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Green additionally secures clients
intellectual property rights through copyright and trademark registration
procedures.
Ed Green obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from
Tennessee Technological University, with an emphasis in digital electronics.
Mr. Green obtained a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the evening
program at North Carolina Central University School of Law, while practicing
engineering full-time. During law school, Mr. Green chaired the Intellectual
Property Law Society and was a member of the Law Journal.
Mr. Green is admitted to practice law in the state of North Carolina,
and in federal district court. He is also registered to practice before
the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, D.C. Mr.
Green is a member of the Triangle Intellectual Property Law Association,
the North Carolina Bar Association and the Institute for Electrical
and Electronics Engineers.
